Mojisola Olaniyan was born at Kawo, Kaduna State of Northern Nigeria to the family of Reverend & Mrs Jacob Afolabi Olaniyan. She hails from Iree, Boripe Local Government of Osun State of Nigeria.

An erudite Communications Expert, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ife in 1984 and a Masters degree in Communications Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1994.

She is a trained Writer/Editor who worked with the Nigerian Baptist Convention for the first 17 years of her career as a Curriculum Specialist/Programme Coordinator for Student Ministries Department and later as Coordinator, Publications Department overseeing the writing, editing, translation and publishing of numerous materials for the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Indeed she is the first Nigerian editor of the popular daily devotional, Seek Daily, which was used internationally by many people.

In 2000, she moved to the Nigerian Public Service as she was employed by the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health, Idu Industrial Estate, Abuja, Nigeria.

She rose through the administrative officer rank to become Director, Administration and Supplies in 2010 and later Director, Human Resources Management in 2020.

She is due for retirement from the Public Service of Nigeria in September 2023.

 

Mojisola Olaniyan is a people - oriented and driven individual. She has about 32 years experience in providing counselling, succour, welfare, rehabilitation to the down -trodden of society and troubled persons.

 

This perspective is the major driving force behind the establishment of Zivan Initiative for Women, Children, Youth and Community. She believes that we will always have the poor amidst us. However, she can, in her own way, contribute to impact life positively and in some way, affect the suffering of people of different categories in the society thereby reducing the number of the poor, oppressed, disadvantaged in our communities.
