Small, Little Mercies...

My bladder was overfull. As I rushed to empty it, a thought came to me,"Thank God for ability to urinate. God, thank you for small mercies".

Small Mercies???? Are there small mercies? Are there little mercies? Really?

There are many in hospitals who cannot urinate on their own; whose bladders are aided by catheters; who are on continuous dialysis.There are millions who can't defecate; who can't chew; talk less of swallow; who cannot lift up their heads; who can't think straight; who are plagued with calamities; can't dos; won't dos.....

No, there are no little mercies. There are no small mercies. All mercies are big. I can breathe. I can dance. I can jump. I can eat at will. I can drink. I can swallow. I can do the little things. I can dare and do all I think to will and do.

I thank you my Lord, for the very many uncountable mercies in my life and lives of my loved ones. Thank you for victories over the vicissitudes of life. Thank you for small things which I take for granted. Thank you for small achievements, for big achievements. Thank You. Thank You.Thank You. I appreciate your great mercies.

Go ahead. Thank God for His mercies right now. There are no little mercies. Think. Declare His mercies and greatness in your life.

Small ,little mercies are big mercies in disguise.
